The East College Street Project, located in Oberlin, was SCA’s first development. It was built on the site of a former car dealership, dry cleaner, and fast food restaurant, and born from the realization that the longterm sustainability of the city and college required a much more vibrant and dynamic downtown. SCA spearheaded a private/public/philanthropic partnership to master plan the entire city block. After working with diverse stakeholders to identify community needs, SCA created the East College Street Project with 33 residential condominiums, including a mixed-income component, 25,000 square feet of office, retail, restaurant, community service providers, and arts space, as well as a new public park.
