Introduction

My interests vary widely, from baking fancy cakes to doing yoga to traveling around the world and taking photos (see my smiling face just after I bought my awesome new camera?). I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts, but after high school, I headed to California where I majored in Human Biology at Stanford University. From there, it was back to the East Coast to take a teaching position in NYC with Teach For America. I've taught in Istanbul, Turkey through the Fulbright Teacher Exchange, and recently took time out of the classroom to work for Gotham Schools as an education journalist. I'm excited to help create a challenging and inspiring school for the new Brooklyn Prospect sixth graders!
