FROM MS. HOROWITZ:
"I would like to invite the BP community to two performances coming up of a trio I am dancing in by modern dance choreographer Barbara Mahler.

I thought the first show was going to be in February, but I just found out we will also be showing it in a small salon-style (more informal) show in Brooklyn! Exciting because it is right in Park Slope! The production is:
Sunday, January 23rd
at 3pm

(as part in the 5th of a monthly series of salon-style performance)
at the the studio of Marie-Christine Giordano Dance
220 25th St. (buzzer #202
)
The studio can be found towards the back left of the 1st floor at the door marked 102), in Greenwood Heights, Brooklyn, (just south of Park Slope - 25th St. stop on the R train).

Below is some info that was passed along to me about the performance:
 "We plan to present 3 different artists, including the host company, each performing for 10 minutes or less. There will be schmooze breaks between pieces depending on length and set up requirements. We expect a relatively good sized audience; extremely diverse in terms of ethnicity, income level and age, some of whom may be relatively new to contemporary dance, your specialty or both. One of the main things we hope to achieve with both the hospitality and the informality of the salon will be to make it possible for you to interact with the audience in a less intimidating and more relaxed and natural set of circumstances than we normally encounter or provide in the concert dance world.  At the moment the artists we have more or less confirmed to share the afternoon include Barbara Mahler and Marie-Christine Giordano Dance."
